We have 3.5 acres fenced in with 4 ft. welded wire. Our chickens are fenced in a separate area with a coop and our ducks and geese have free range of the place with a small pond. Our largest goose is gone, yet no other birds or rabbits are missing. She had three geese and two gander companions. I've heard coyotes in the area before, but we've never worried about the geese because I always thought together they could fight off anything. If she wasn't over 20 lbs. she was close. Does this make any sense to anyone? We can't even find one feather. Can a coyote hop a fence with a 20 lbs. bird??

I would think most things would pass up a goose that big. I also have a Toulouse but she's not that big. I thought something got her but she got scared and flew over the fence which is what saved her. Maybe yours did the same. I hope you find her...

my brother had an issue with his muscovy ducks going missing one by one. not a feather was found. He ruled out cougars and figured since there were no tracks that it must be eagles getting them. the largest of his ducks was quite big, the strangest part was no feathers or anything to indicate what happened.

I've never raised geese, but with my ducks, they too disappear without a trace, no pile of feather etc. My chickens leave a pile of feathers where the attack occurred, and a trail of feathers so you can see what happened. I truly hope she flow over the fence. The fact that none of the other birds are traumatized leads me to think that might be the case. Hope you find her.
