Hello! Just joined up. I've read so many helpful articles on this site. I love the pictures and the stories, tips and tricks. You all are great!

My mom keeps a small flock of chickens and I was about to do the same when I started reading up about ducks!

After a lot of research, note taking, debating, I finally ordered four Cayuga hens from Murry McMurry that should be arriving next Tuesday.

Thanks for all the advice and helping me prep for the little ones. Next, deciding their names! Fun part :)

Thanks again
Katie

Ducks look like a lot of fun. Good luck with yours, I hope you enjoy them.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. You may want to explore the Learning Center, a great way to start your poultry education. There is also "Other Backyard Poultry," forum which covers ducks, geese, guineas, quail, etc. - a good place to ask any duck specific questions.

Welcome to BYC, Katie. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person but I have to admit that ducklings are the ultimate in cute.) Definitely post on our Duck link that sunflour left with you and take advantage of our duck experts there. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Thank you very much everyone! And thanks for all the info, I'm like a sponge with topics that I love so every link and reference I'll be looking over today.

This community is extremely impressive. I love it. I wish everyone could interact this way.
