My partner and i just built a coop and got 4 Rhode Island reds from a nearby farm. We are located in Columbia Missouri. We are getting two more chickens this weekend Cochin bantams.

Hope to meet some local folks into backyard chickens

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I would be cautious about putting your Cochin bantams in the same flock as your RIRs as they are likely to take a beating from the larger RIRs. For this reason, we ended up having to remove our bantams from the main flock and keep them in their own separate enclosure. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there.
