To Roo or Not to Roo: Sex my polish chick?

Meet Poly, my polish chick. She's about 10 1/2 - 11 weeks old. Her crest had been incredibly slow to come in, in fact the feathers she does have are new this week and she still has a bald spot at the center of her head.

I'm curious what everyone's opinion is on whether or not she is a hen or a rooster? I was told by the feed store that she was a hen when we bought her (she was a few days old). Any signs I should look for?

Thanks for the help!

That darker shade of red on the shoulders/wings is something that only males get.

I guess I didn't realize color played a factor as well.

Looks like a cockerel to me.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Thanks everyone! We were really hoping for all ladies. I guess you can't win them all. Probably time to rename her.
