How bad was it? Did it kill anything?

I was thinking of you yesterday when I was "checking the keel" on my SS. My roosters are so young compared to yours and the keels are not full and sharper than I would like and I was thinking of how nice and full yours looked at the fair. Next year I will be keeping some January chicks for my own showing.



BTW a couple of the roosters are calming down. (relative to what they were).

Her brother Spot hurt his leg, he was kind of limping around this morning so I put him in a cage in the coop. While I was brushing my teeth a hawk was flying over the yard, I'm probably one of the only chicken people who doesn't go out clanging pots and pans together

I just like to sit and watch and see how my birds react. Usually RJ sounds the alarm everyone runs for cover and he sits in the middle of the yard flapping his wings and making noise. It works though since I've never had anything taken by a hawk ot bald eagle.
