Hello from Oregon

Well I've ordered some chickens from our local feed store. 2 araucana( this is EE, correct?) a silver laced Wyandotte, blue laces red Wyandotte, light brahma, a welsummer, and a cuckoo Marans. Should be 7 birds total and I beleive its all straight run. I think I'd like at least one rooster to watch the girls and I love the look of the roosters.

They lay a blue color egg. Easter Eggers are crossbreeds between an Araucana or Ameracauna with another breed.

If they are coming from a feed store, they are Easter Eggers and not true Araucanas. EEs are hybrids produced by crossing blue egg layers with brown egg layers to produce offspring that lay eggs in some color other than just blue (most commonly in shades of green).

Cute ducks! I posted my photo in another thread. Wanted to know the breed of this rooster. He belongs to someone I house sit for and he's made me want a rooster. They said he's a salmon faverolle m.

Yep, he's a Salmon Faverolles rooster. Great breed; very friendly and gentle and good layers.
