Hello! I am a newbie to backyard chickens and this forum. I have 4 hens: Orpington (Friday), Buff Orpington (Blondie), Heritage Rhode Island (Ruby), Barred/Plymouth Rock (Marty). I also have 2 GSD's. I live in central Florida. The chickens are around 8 months maybe a little older. They are gorgeous birds. Only one is currently laying 1 egg every other day.

There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to BYC! :welcome

17 pigeons, 15 coturnix quail, 2 roos, 6 hens. Also 5 drakes, a CCL roo that thinks he's a drake, a fat bearded dragon and 2 angora rabbits.

Current projects are Cinnamon Legbars (chocolate gold), chocolate/brown pigeons and silver/brown coturnix quail. My next project is a dark chocolate colored chicken with deep red/gold base that lays bright green eggs. Yes, I like the color brown.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

My 3 year old GSD wants to chase them so I don't let them roam when he is in the yard. He doesn't try to hurt them, just chase so it's giving us a good chance to brush up on our obedience 😀
