OUR SECURE COOP AND RUN ARE COMPLETE NOW WHAT WE NEED TO FIND ARE SOME HENS 17 WEEKS TO 25 WEEKS. THE BREED DOESN'T MATTER AS WE WOULD LIKE TO BEGIN OUR "GIRLS CLUB" WITH ABOUT 6 TO 8 HENS. ANYONE IN THE AREA KNOW ANYONE WHO WANTS TO SELL SOME PULLETS?

Generally when peeps sell pullets at POL. (point of lay) they usually like a sweeter price. Not uncommon for the price to be $25 or better for average chickens. A big difference between your location and mine, up north from you. is this. In my area, some peeps offer their flocks for dirt cheap to free with the coming of winter. In Carolina, north or south, it does not get cold for peeps to liquidate their flocks for winter. You will most likely not get great closeout deals. Best option to get some fair priced chickens may be Craigs List. They will be nearby. Believe me, when I tell you that you will get shell shock when you find out the cost of shipping large birds.
Try posting in the Carolina state Thread. It has peeps local to you reading those posts that may have what you are looking for.
Here is a link to that thread.

If nothing comes thru that suits you, then I suggest starting your flock in the spring with baby chicks from your local feed store. The price is like $4 to $5 per chick. Some are even less.

AND ABOVE ALL
