Feathers Missing and a Little Blood?

Is it going to hurt her when I pull them out? There are about 4-5

Tell me, have you ever plucked your eye browl's? It won't hurt any worse than that. Just remember not to do more damage to her pin feathers by mishandling her.

Pin feathers are tender and molting chickens are sore and feverish so I highly recommend doing everything you can to help her come out of molt in tip top shape. That includes pulling broken feathers so new ones will come in.

Lol! Well that doesn't sound too bad ;) I am concerned about stressing her more than I have already :/ I wasn't sure I could pick her out at night which is why I did it during the day...this is one advantage to taming your chickens so you can handle them easily :/ It's so hard when stuff like this happens and you need to handle them but they aren't having any of it. I will try tomorrow night and see if I can pick her out and pluck all those bloody feathers from that wing.

P.S. It was pretty cool to see all those pin feathers though! Very cool looking!!

Remember now to only pluck out the broken feathers, OK?
