Hello,

A few months back we bought three supposed Swedish Flower Hens that were 1-2 weeks old. But one of them doesn't look like the others. Wondering if it's just a crested version, or another breed entirely?

Thanks!

I'm no expert in breeds, however what i know about swedish flower breed is that they are a self made breed( not specifically selected for a color or other traits), so they come in a range of colors and some are crested. However most have the flower pattern colour, similar the bird on the left in your last picture. And the one with the crested and you're peculiar about is very common amongst its breed. But I'm not sure how common is whitish colour of the tow of your birds is...
As i see they might be poor quality, good quality or somethings else :p
Hope someone that knows what he's saying comes by soon! And what beautiful pullers you've got, regardless!

Swedish Flower Hens are a landrace chicken. They aren't a breed but a 'type'. As such, there is a huge range of variety. While crests and mottling/speckling are common features, they aren't a rule. I don't see anything about them that would indicate that they aren't what you were told.
