New to BYC,but not new to chickens!

Hey, North FL, I found my camera! I will try to upload a picture of Dixie the flying squirrel.
Welcome to Backyard chickens. You also sound like a dog lover - 7 dogs!! Are they different breeds, or do you raise them?
Oh yes, a dog lover, chicken lover animal lover! Three of the dogs are Papillon, a mother and her two grown sons, one American Eskimo, one Lhasa, one Cairn terrier mix and one Border Collie mix. Most of them were rescues. I'm blessed with an indulgent husband who also loves animals!

Here's Dixie checking out the mealworm farm.
Not a great picture, hard to get her to sit still!

She's a doll! How did you end up with a flying squirrel? She's not your usual, run of the mill house pet, lol.

It's a long story, but it started with one baby flyer who ventured out of the birdhouse his mom chose to live in too soon. I rescued him, fell in love with flyers, got another, they had babies. Dixie is the last baby and the only one I still have. She is about 7 years old. I rehomed the others.

So you've had several, that's cool! Dixie is a cutie, I can see how a person could get attached.
