She is about 5 months old. I read some other forums and here's what I've done so far: I vomited her and she threw up a worm, some grass, and mucusy looking liquid. I then isolated her to make sure she was pooping and yes, she is. This is day 3 (that I became aware of the problem but I'm not sure how long she has had it) and I massaged her crop. She let out a squawk and then I heard some gurgling and her crop went down to almost nothing.... so, I let her eat and go about her business. Now, about 3 hours later her crop has swelled back up the the huge balloon it was before. ugh! What should I do?????? Please help me!

Hey, no, I just went out and bought yogurt and Epsom salt because I read that it works on the Chicken Chick. We will see! I gave her some yogurt about 30 min ago.

STILL STRUGGLING! She started fluffing herself up and standing in the yard with her eyes shut (with snow on the ground). I took that as a bad sign, brought her back in for the night, and gave her more yogurt and epsom salt water. By morning, her crop was almost flat!!! I put her back outside with the rest of the chickens and that evening she had TWO SMALLER LUMPS WHERE HER CROP IS! What is going on?! She stayed out that night and got on the roost and seemed fine. -Cut to yesterday night. I went to check on everybody for the night around 8 and she wasn't on the roost like the rest of them. Instead, she was tucked up on the ground of the coop under a a piece of wood leaned against the wall. Back to the box in the house she went. This morning her crop was still a little big and squishy for morning time. What do I do? She loves to eat and she seems to be losing weight. (I know the epsom salt water doesn't help that but I don't know what else to do) The only thing I can think is that maybe I am not keeping her quarantined long enough. Anybody?????
