Anyone know why a chickens feathers would look like this???? I haven't noticed them any of the "fighting" other then a little peck here and there and this girl has been part of my flock since June (none of them are even a year old yet) and I NEVER had an issue with her.

. I did notice one of her feathers on the floor yesterday (normally find a feather here and there from different girls). And this looks like a straight clean "cut"

Do you use chicken wire in your coop? I had a chicken sleeping against chicken wire and it was cutting her feathers pretty clean like that.

That being said this could also be something biting at her feathers, dogs grabbing at chickens will clip feathers like this but normally pull some at some points.

There is chicken wire but only in the run. And there not around any other animals (with the exception of the squirrels they chase out of the yard. Lol)
