I am Chick and I own 8 chickens, 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 1 cat.

Hey there!

I love all the animals you own (I love all animals actually). I wish I had a few horses, but right now with the economy that can't happen. However, we somehow manage to have 50 chickens, 7 dogs and 5 cat.

What kind of chickens do you own?

I have three sex links, 3 americauna/banty/orpington/?????? hens and two barred rock hens.

I love to have a variety of breeds too, that way I can tell them apart.

We recently got a new puppy named Epsilon (we call him Oopsie though) and he loves playing with Nym. He's part Australian Shepherd and part Poodle.

What's your favorite name you ever gave an animal? We've had a lot of animals so I'm not sure but I like some of the names we've given chickens (like Smaug and Dominator) and I like our cat named Mesa (because he looks like a painter desert).

Gallo de Cierro is my rooster, he is named after a prize fighting rooster in an Ian Tyson song

He is super scared and the bottom of the pecking order, even though he is HUGE

Here are my birds arguing. We are getting rid of the larger one soon (he is Adrian) just because he is starting to get aggressive. Acorn is a couple years old but he is also a bantam. Its funny when Acorn wings against such large roosters just because he is older. I guess its all mind games.

Awesome, honey bees are a lot of fun.

A friend of our land lord (who is a friend of ours, so a friend of our friends) keeps bees on our property.

Choose a favorite is next to impossible for me, I love ALL animals and hope to become a zoologist one of these days. However, if I had to say which my pets is my favorite it would have to be my dog, Cinnamon. He is just so loyal and has been with me so long (I can't believe he is 9 years old!). He's sitting next to me right now, just enjoying my company. Now, chickens are a TON of fun to work with and plan for,and cats are GORGEOUS, but they tend to be slightly on the selfish side. At least with my spoiled cat, Nym.

Here is my dog, Cinnamon, in the autumn leaves. He's a goldendoodle (we can only have dogs with poodle in them because of allergies in the family).
