Seeking Info on new "Asia Black" Chicken "Breed"

Pics
I too, purchased Asian Black chicks at TSCa few weeks ago. As chicks, they were black with a little yellow under belly. As they've started to grow, they're losing the yellow and are only black now. The comb changed from white to black, the feet are black and the skin is turning black also. These I have are SOLID black all over and they are only 6-7 weeks old currently. Both of mine seem to be hens. The rep at TSC said this was a new and rare breed. (For what that's worth) I only raise them for egg laying and don't run a farm, so I can't say what is what, lol. I'm gonna try to pull up some younger pics of them.

This is the day I got them, maybe a week or so old. Only the black ones in the pic are the Asian Black breed. According to some breeders that I spoke with, a true Asian Black is SOLID black with black combs, feet, skin and even the meat is dark. They are beautiful! The bin at TSC only said Asian Black and every chick in the bin was black, no yellows.

Actually those all black birds are "Black Asian" , see how they (hoovers) flipped the name as the ones you purchased are Asian Black.

I have 3 young hens. They started laying around 24 weeks, rarely miss a day, and lay extra large up to enormous duck egg sized eggs. One lays an average colored brown egg, the others tend toward pinky brown, almost plum, some with darker specks.

Mine were pretty nasty until they started to lay, much better now. Average. Heavy bodied and lazy.

Like the extra large Duck size almost daily egg description. Sounds extra good to me!!

What breed of chicken has the middle toe that color? I got 5 exotic chicks with my heritage cockerel order and one has those exact toes!
Both my Asian Blacks have a single white toenail (middle toe on both)
