I thank you so much for your concern you really are giving brain power to my dilemma hun. It is now day 25 and no sound from the eggs. It had crossed my mind if there was enough humidity in there. I breed canaries and they are showing signs of wanting to start nesting in their outside aviary, and starlings are bringing back nesting material for their home in my eves'
Is it possible that eggs can be held back from hatching when the weather is too cold???

Little bit. The eggs can remain preserved for an X amount of days depending on the species before needing to be incubated. The lower the temp the slower it takes for them to develop. The warmer the faster they develop which means they will hatch closer or before the incubation period.

Hi

Have been wondering what happened with your eggs for a while, but couldn't find this thread till now. Did any hatch? I'm kind of guessing "no news" is not "good news" on this occasion, but didn't want you to think you had been forgotten.  :hugs
