Does a Khaki Runner Cross Make a Good Layer?

KC X Runners will be hybrids and will not breed true. If you think they will, then there is no reason not to buy hatchery hybrids for long term egg production.

I guess I could always buy hatching eggs instead of letting my ducks crossbreed and hatch their own eggs if I ever want another generation of good layers.

The white layers seem like a good choice if I do that and I read that they're less flighty than Khakis.
