I am wondering if my canary could catch anything from my chickens? I mean not directly from the chicken itself, but from me being around the chickens and then being around my bird. I wash my hands super good and always change my chore clothes before going near my bird. Just curious. Thanks!

Yes. Consider using hand sanitizer; more effective than plain hand washing with soap.
