Well as CochinLover1 said it may not make it. I hatched a batch in november that the cat dumped over the incubator on day 17 and had a cracked up bloody mess but salvaged around 20 something out of which 15 actually hatched and is alive and well...but I did have to open an egg on my last batch and the babys beak was barely through the membrane so I opened the sac a bit more till his beak was totally free then wrapped the egg in a very wet warm washcloth and put it back in the incubator, I figured it would die before hatching but several hours later I checked and the egg was empty and the chick was out so I waited till the next morning to check it again andit was alive and little belly closed so I put it with my other chicks and now cant tell which it was....sometimes ya never know but most time they do not survive, maybe its worth a try...what kind is it?

I have had a couple of saves too. Its a 1 in 10 chance, so do not count on success, but if it makes you feel better very carefully try. Sometimes you can get lucky.

Please don't allow any other hatched chicks to run all over it. Give him a chance to get his strength. Put them in a brooder

It may take a bit for it to rest up, its rough on the little guys when they have problems. Just give him a while cause he will be weak and hopefully he will be ok in a few days. Worse case is his little belly hasnt closed up completly, if thats the case he may have some real trouble. Keep us posted on his progress.
