Hello Maryland!

I have 3 bantam hens living in my little back yard in Baltimore City. They were strays so we adopted them 2 years ago. And because they just love raising little ones, I wanted to find out if anyone in the area would be interested in taking in some baby chickens this Spring/Summer. All free, delivery included!

In the Spring, my girls go broody and there is just NO talking them out of it. So, last year, my husband and I gave in and we let them hatch some eggs we bought off e-bay. The City doesn't allow roosters, and our backyard is so small, so we re-homed all 4 little ones when they got big enough. We want to do the same thing this year (turns out that hatching chicks is super fun!) but in order to bring more little birds into the world, we need to have a happy home lined up for them. I'm happy to drive the babies over to you, since I would hate for anything to happen to them in the mail.

What do you say?! We are considering hatching some black-laced wyandottes or some other good-lookin' bantam breed. One of our birds is a sebright (we think)-- only 7" tall but she has a huge personality!-- so maybe sebrights would be really fun babies.

Thanks all,
Caroline

Sure! So long as it's a bantam, we are open to whatever someone else wants to raise when they get big enough to be rehomed.
