So, our Buff Orpington hasn't been well. We assumed ascites from suggestions on this page. I decided to go ahead with trying to drain fluid. Unfortunately, it came out green. Our Buffy hasn't laid an egg for approximately 3-4 months, not eggbound though. We got approximately 250 cc's of fluid out with much more left, but didn't want to send her into shock. She seemed to take it well. We have her recouping inside. She's getting some much needed rest.
After draining her, we gave her a nice warm bath and blow dry, which she loves.
