Redness on backend

The photo depicts a very red backend of my chicken. She is eating and functioning normal it seems, but this does not look good at all. Any idea what it is and what we can do for it?
 
Is any of the internal vent tissue sticking outside, as it would in a prolapse? I would bring her inside for warmth and soak her bottom in soapy water to clean off the droppings, then dry her. Perhaps take another picture. Does it look like any of the chickens have pecked her vent or pulled feathers out? Many feed stores sell Nustock Cream that you can put on to heal and hide red skin to avoid pecking. If there is a prolapse (shown in the pictures in the first link) then she will need honey or hemorrhoid cream applied, and the vent tissue will need to be pushed back inside.
