Hi.
I am wanting to buy a brooder. I am using a seed propogator at the minute, works great for first few days till the chicks get too big.
Not too expensive or too big. I am in the UK.
 
I'm not even sure they manufacture brooders for sale. Everyone I've ever heard of has made their own brooder out of cardboard boxes, plastic storage tubs, or build one out of lumber, and my personal favorite is none of the above.

I brood right outside in my covered run using a heating pad and wire frame. The chicks crawl inside the warm "cave" to warm themselves, and the rest of the time, they're running all over the place having a splendid time.

Chicks confined to a small brooder box is a relic of the past at my place.
