Maran Roo?

All chicks have spur buds, both male and female. The spurs don't begin to develop until about 6 months old. Some roosters never to grow spurs, and sometimes a hen will grow them. 
The chick is a cockerel due to the big pink comb at such a young age. Pullets don't start to pink up until they are getting close to laying age.
Thank you for that info! I knew he had to be a young roo! He's a blue maran. My other chick, a cuckoo maran has a small comb but it's flesh colored, so I believe that one is a pullet.

You know, I wad wondering about whether both genders can get spurs or not. Here is a picture of both chicks together.
