Long time snooper of BYC finally joined to make it official. I'm replacing my Orpington flock after a skunk duo took out my red, cuckoo red, and two tone red orps! So it's back to searching for hatching eggs and hopefully getting lucky with finding my silver laced this year. I am very interested in finding a breeder of the Penedescenca crele or black chickens. I am all about rare, heritage breed "anything" so if anyone has a connection please let me know. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Most of us were lurkers before joining, but its such a great site with many very experienced and friendly members that I'm not sure why any of us lurked before joining!

If you join your state thread (just type your state in the search box) you might be able to find other members local to you that can point you in the right direction for the breed you are looking for.

I believe user "ronott," usually on " The Old Folks home," thread, breeds penedescencas. He is in California. You could also put the breed name in the search box and it should come up. There may also we a thread devoted to them.

Once you have 20 posts you can use the buy-sell-trade forum here on BYC. Things come and go from there pretty frequently so you might get lucky and find what you are looking for.
