Hi everyone! I have a very odd problem!
I can eat eggs, mayo, cakes... Any egg product that I buy from a shop! I have a little trouble eating soft yolks with shop brought eggs but other than that I'm fine.
We've been keeping chickens and ducks around a year now and my family love the eggs! And so do our neighbors! Unfortunately, can't eat them! They give my really bad stomach problems and make me so ill.
I have no idea why I'd have this problem with my eggs as I live in the UK so there's really no difference between the eggs I buy and the eggs our poultry lay! Has any one got any suggestions? Has anyone ever had this problem? Thanks!

Sorry, no, I've not had that problem - maybe its some constituent of the feed that you may be allergic to? Possibly try changing the feed and see if that helps?

I get ill when i drink too much gin - tried changing brands, but it never seems to work!

Do you have a rooster? There have been some folks over the years that claimed fertilized eggs gave them gi issues. I never understood how that would work, but it could be an easy fix.

My mom developed an allegie to chicken but could eat chicken if it was cooked twice adventually she got to where she couldnt eat any of of it broth if used in other recipes make her violently ill. It could be that your actually have an egg allegry thats just starting to show.

Are you 100% sure it's the eggs? I'd want to be totally sure. If you're already done this and you're sure, then you're sure...but I'd recommend eating nothing but an egg to find out for sure.

Here's what I'd do to be sure. For breakfast, have someone make you an egg (however you like, scrambled, etc.). Eat it and see what happens. Also, I'd do this for several mornings in a row. The reason you want someone else to make it for you is that you'll not know if you're getting served a store-bought egg or one of yours. Do this for several mornings and see if you really get sick on one of your eggs when it's the only thing you eat and you're not sure what it's source is.
