Help!! I have a chick that hatched and a big brown something is attached to it!

My last chick just hatched and it has a big brown something attached to its rear by a thread. Should I cut it off? I thought it would die but its moving all around the incubator pulling this along with it. What is it....a hernia? its stomach? Never seen anything like this before.
 
It's probably the dried up yolk bag. Check to see if it is attached by a dried up thread. If this is the case, then you can just snip it off with scissors. This is a common thing to happen. Don't cut too close to it's body. If there is still a string hanging out it will fall off soon.
If it looks like a vein with blood in it then leave it alone. It will fall off naturally once it dries.
