Help! 4 months ago, we hatched 2 eggs with a broody hen and everything seemed great. One of the chicks stopped growing at about 10 weeks, had a hunched in look with her head drawn into her shoulders. She died.
Then, a member of my original flock had that same posture, hunched in on herself. Her comb grew pale and shrunk. Within 2 weeks, she also died.
The 2nd chick is dying right this moment, of the same thing. Hunched in posture, pale, shrunken comb and wasting away. I separated her when it became obvious she was sick.
And now, another of my original flock is hunching in on herself and her comb is shrinking.
I thought it might be coccidiosis, but the meds didn't help.
I'm at a loss and can't have a necroposy done. I don't want to lose anyone else! Any ideas??

I'll keep that in mind for next time (hopefully never!!) But I'm fairly sure that one of my older girls is getting sick.
