Hello Community,
We moved from townhouse in Virginia to Battle Ground Washington and this will be our first time raising quail and chicken. Going to be challenging and fun for the whole family. Wife and I said we are raising quail and chicken for our daughters, but really they are for the whole family to enjoy.

If anyone in Battle Ground Washington have an incubator, we are interested in hatching some eggs (like to share incubator :) maybe 5 slots or so.

Going to be an exciting year :)

Hi and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard.

If you check out the Learning Centre, you'll find a whole host of resources on all things chicken / quail.

Your state thread is worth joining as you will get to know other BYC members in your area (https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread) and someone may be able to help you out with your incubator issue. In fact, the search box should become your best friend

Lastly but by no means least, the members here are amazing - very friendly and helpful, so if you need an answer to a question or simply want some reassurance that what you are doing is ok, then post away - we all help each other out here at BYC.

All the best

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! Raising poultry sure can be a great way of getting the whole family involved. It's great for getting kids involved and for them to get some fresh air and for them to learn about caring for an animal. I see you have posted on your state thread, fingers crossed you can get help there with an incubator. I'm sure you will enjoy that too. Nothing quite like watching the chick hatch from the egg :D

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Most folks, this time of year, have no vacancies in their incubators. Spring is around the corner, bad winter almost gone - they can't wait to have chicks again. Some folks do hatch eggs for others for a fee. But I don't personally know anyone.
