I ordered 7 white leghorns and 6 SLW pullets. I am lucky enough to live 45 mins from a hatchery so I went and picked them up. At pick up I saw they gave me an extra SLW. Anyways they are 3 weeks old now and two of them look very different. One has a funny pattern and a black comb/beak and her legs are even turning black like my JGs. It is a rose comb like a SLW though. The next one has a rose comb right color legs and comb, but she has no white. All of her feathers are solid black including the ones coming in on her chest. Are these girls SLW? Will their adult feathers look the right colors? What about the black comb and legs? I also have one with a single instead of rose comb but I read it is a recessive gene and happens from time to time. Pictures to follow.

These two are what all my other Wyandottes look like. White feathers black tips.

Then there is this girl whose feather pattern matches my guineas only black and white. She also has the black comb and her legs and feet are going black like my JGs dis when they were little.

Finally when have this little girl who is solid black. :/
I don't mind the different color variation but would love to know what they are.

They could just be poorly colored, I have had Wyandotte with single combs. The bottom two look like they could be roosters, especially the last one by the comb color.

Last one as in the solid black one? I ordered pullets. I guess 10% chance right. Lol. All the combs size and colors are the same except that one that is solid black. That black comb and legs is throwing me. I wonder if the extra one was some random one they had left over.

The black one and the oops didn't load one, that one is less feathered too, sometimes roosters feather out slower. I'm not definite, a few weeks will confirm it either way for sex and coloring, but that's my initial thoughts.

Well shoot. :/ I just hatched out 8 chicks myself. I expected a few roos from that batch but not from my pullets. Guess time will tell and we may have some extra chicken on the menu.

I would wait a few weeks yet, things could look different, Wyandotte can be harder to comb sex than other breeds, sorry I was giving my best guesses, so I could be wrong.

Looks like you got straight run, and two are not Silver Laced.
These two are Silver Laced. One is definitely a cockerel, that comb is too fleshy and pink for a pullet. The other might be a cockerel as well, that coloring on the shoulders is pretty patchy.

This one could be silver Partridge. Definitely a pullet.
This one could be a Black Wyandotte. Definitely a cockerel.
Overall, not what you ordered. Where did you get them from?
