We have only just begun the planning stages of our little coop. The desire to have chickens has been a topic of conversation between us for a while now and we are going to make the jump! Soo very excited! We have started research on breeds of chickens and know we need a hearty docile breed since we have children that will be helping along the way

We're only in the thinking stages of coop plans and have been browsing ideas online when I stumbled upon BYC! All I can say is I was hooked from the start! We became members last night and we are eager to learn and willing to take any advice from you legionaries! So with that said I'm excited to get to know anyone that wants to share their knowledge with us and is willing to give any helpful advise from what you have learned along the way

Well I love answering questions so if you ever have any issues you can PM me on here. I started keeping chickens last summer and it's blossomed into amazingly enjoyable hobby. Do you have any breeds you have questions about? I have 27 chickens and a incubator full, I have a wide range of breeds right now that I am caring for so I can answer any questions you may have about the breeds I own. What I highly recommend in making a "chicken book" out of a notebook, fill it with small things you learn here and there in case you need it later (especially in times with no electricity).

Hi and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard.

The members here are amazing - very friendly and helpful, so if you need an answer to a question or simply want some reassurance that what you are doing is ok, then post away - we all help each other out here at BYC.

All the best
