I have 2 hens that need to find a new home. These hens are great egg layers, laid 5-7 eggs a week each through the winter, and are less than a year old. The problem is that they are mean! They have picked the back of our silkie rooster bald and they are not very tolerant of my young chickens. I do not have the ability to keep them fully separated all the time so they must go. I have no problem sending them to the freezer except for the fact they are great layers. I received these free, so I would like to pass them off to somebody who has the ability to keep them separate, or who has an even meaner chicken to keep them in line! As far as breed I do not know. I was told they were leghorns, but they lay medium-large light brown eggs. One of them looks like a leghorn, but the other has some markings that tells me it might be a leghorn mix. Pickup only, but I would be willing to meet somebody halfway if they don't live too far.
