Hello Brenda,
welcome-byc.gif
great to have you joining the BYC flock

I just spray Bactine on the small cuts and in most cases that is all it takes but if you put up a photo of the the injury I could better give you an idea what will work ...

Nice to meet you Brenda. Welcome to Backyard chickens. That's one of the many reasons a lot of chickeners forgo having roosters. Unless you need fertile eggs for hatching or sale, the hens are much happier without them.

Hi and

Brenda. Ditto on DD's advice above.

More generally, the Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Joining your state thread will also put you in contact with other BYC members in your area.

The members here are amazing - very friendly and helpful, so if you need an answer to a question or simply want some reassurance that what you are doing is ok, then post away - we all help each other out here at BYC.

All the best
CT
