Did I end up with silkie bantams? What are these?

The other chicks kept laying on him, pecking and just walking over him so I moved him to a separate spot. He got so weak that he wasn't standing/walking or bothering to eat or drink. I'm not 100% sure what the problem was.

My little one seems to be holding his/her own so far. But it is just so much smaller from the others it makes me worry. I think I'm gonna move it to its own personal brooder and keep it inside and baby it a little bit. I did notice even after cleaning the little tooshie again and doing the Vaseline/oil trick on its bottom that it still seems to be having issues pooping. It just kinda hangs there. I did grind the food really fine and the oatmeal too and mixed it with some plain yogurt and all the banties seem to LOVE it. I will probably continue with that for a little bit to help the poor baby out. I better go bring her (hopefully) in. I will keep everybody posted--fingers crossed!!

My little one is still hanging on! But man is it TINY!! These are 2 of our OEGBs (guessing anyway-bantam bin at Rural King)-same hatch date. Approx 2 weeks old now. Is it possible that we just got a "dwarf" bantam? Just like a "little person"? We moved the babies out to a brooder box in our chicken coop with heat light, etc....they all made the transition there from the garage just fine except for Tiny. I went out to check on them before bed last night and he was nearly froze to death. Sitting on his rump-legs out in front of him, wings spread, head down and eyes closed. I grabbed him immediately and brought him back into the house to the "infirmary". An hour later he was just fine. I think he may just want to be a house chicken lol. Anybody have any tips or ideas for dealing with/raising him? He seems to do fine as long as he is in the house where it's warm. It's just that he is so tiny-all of his parts are tiny too-vent especially-he can only eat chick starter ground up to smaller pieces. I would let to hear advice anybody has. Thanks!!

I've had a few tiny chicks, but I've never done anything special for them. Eventually they caught up and grew to be the same size as everyone else. I guess you'll just have to baby yours until its a little more sturdy. I'd definitely try to get back with the others ASAP though. Otherwise, they could forget about their buddy and then pick on the poor little thing when you reintroduce it.
