6/7 month old.. possible rooster?

So, we got our first ever flock in Dec.. supposedly they were 4 months old, possibly some 3 months.. We now have a question about one that may be a rooster. below are some photos and hope to help. .

First things first, we have yet to have any eggs and has been a daily frustration when we head out and see nothing to whoop and hollar about. Though recently, just the past 3 days or so, we have seen Miranda' standing on top of 2 of the 4 hens (herself included in the 4 total) and bitting/pecking at their comb/top of their head. At first, I thought it was just the one and the pecking order was still going on since we recently lost one and figure that whole thing has started over. Well, i guess it has not since the standing on them has now spread.

Since we are not up at the crack of dawn and do not plan to.. other than setting up the ol GoPro, is there anything else that may tell us that we have a rooster?

A few note worthy things to add before the photos is that she does NO dust bath and smells of fish.. like rotten fish.. like a bad saturday night in the slums of Warez, Mexico strip club (sorry to be so vulger but i am trying to get the bad word across that i do not want to say.. )(but its true.)

That is a cockerel for sure.

How do you know for sure? Just curious because now I want to post my other 3 and be sure. When we bought them, he held by ankles and showed us they would not hold themselves up which meant they were hens. Or so we thought. We did the same to all others and we're falling straight. Also we just got 5 baby chicks and did this same thing. With someone completely different and hoping we are good to go with them, as hens.

So there is a new question, can we raise baby chicks by leaving a few in the near box and keep the other eggs for cooking? This brings on a whole new set of questions I am sure there is a better post about somewhere. This is just so new to us and not sure what our next step is

This is a better one of Kiesha which we think could also be a rooster. ??

The curved long tail feathers and long shiny pointed saddle feathers are male characteristics. So is the patchy red on the wings.

That method of sexing and many more are just folklore and only correct about 50% of the time. Just as reliable as flipping a coin.

In order to hatch chicks, eggs need to be incubated at 99.5 degrees for 21 days.

Kiesha is also a cockerel but the other two are pullets

Miranda and Kiesha are cockerels

Americana - Ariel
Plymouth Rock - Kiesha
Plymouth / RIR - Miranda
Leghorn - Sugar

Here is a short video of all of them this morning. Notice Keisha's tail feathers are lost from a few of the recent pictures. We think they are in "the molting process" or whatever its called right now and loosing feathers and havent laid eggs yet (or will never we are now finding out).
