Sand for the chicken run

from Keystone Heights, Florida. Where and what kind of sand to we cover the chicken run with. All we know is the the pool filter sand and sand box sand. How much of the sand do we add to the run. Thanks.
 
Living in Florida, you should already have sand in your run!!

all you need is the cheap 'builders sand' you can get it at concrete factories or some hardware stores in bulk (scoop into your truck).
