Hello All
A question to my non-feather friends who Love feathered friends. I have been looking for chicks and found a place that will have the following available:
New Hampshire reds
Barred Rocks
Speckled Sussex
Black Sexlinks
We are looking for 6 chicks, we want chickens that are good layers and play well in the sand box together and a mixed flock I have read so many different opinions my head is spinning which would you choose from the above. Yes we are newbies and sorry if I posted in wrong section of forum.

All those you mention are good layers. Start off with 2 of each of your 3 choices. Then when CHICKEN MATH GETS TO YOU keep getting them in pairs.
