Imprinting Question

Hi, I have 2 amazing ducklings who are 2 weeks old currently. They are both heavily imprinted on me. I am going to be gone for a week in April, when they are about almost 5 weeks old. I will be leaving them in the care of my girlfriend and I am wondering if they will re-imprint on her, or if when I return they will still be imprinted on me. I dont mean to sound selfish but Id really love for them to still look to me for guidance or whatever. Do you think theyll remember me or could they then be imprinted on her?
 
Hi! I had a similar situation last fall, so I'll tell you my experience. I had two ducklings that had imprinted on myself and my husband. We had to leave them for a week when they were two weeks old. We had someone come once a day and refill their food and water. When we came back, they were still as attached to us as ever.

However, all of my Imprinted ducks became skittish at about 6 to 8 weeks old, from a combination of maturing and being integrated into the existing flock. I hope your ducks stay attached to yoy, because I really miss how mine used to be.
