Can someone please help me out here! I recently bought a Durvet Vitamin and Electrolyte 8 oz package.(You can see what it looks like here: http://www.durvet.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=99:vitamins-and-electrolytes )

On the instructions it says: FOR DRINKING WATER DISSOLVE 1/2 OF PACKAGE IN 55 GALLONS OR 1 PACKAGE IN 110 GALLONS.

I have a small flock of 5 hens. I give them about (I actually went out and measured the water using a measuring cup) 6 cups or 48oz. (2.5cups+2.5cups+2cups-1cup or 20oz+20oz+16oz-8oz).

How much of the powder would I put in 48oz/6 cups of water? As you can see I’m being really careful. I’ve read that birds have died from an overdose of this stuff.

Oh extra question: I have sparrows and doves (maybe a lizard or two) pop by for a drink and some food. Will the vitamins help, hurt, or do nothing to them?

I googled and found the answer given to someone directly from Durvet. I've used something similar, but it had the instructions per gallon already on the package.
