Im buying 3 large fowl light brahmas friday and one is a year old hen, and these two are roughly 3-5 mths old.. Im guessing a pullet and cockerel but opinions are welcome... Im paying $70 for all 3 which i dont think is a bad deal especially from a local breeder...

MadamPoofybrow thanks ive guest visited the page many of times but now that im back into my chickens i joined... The lady breeds over 20 different exotic breeds of chickens and just 10 minutes from my work :-D

Thanks ChickenLover200... I was thinking the same thing as ive only bought adult buff brahma bantams so mever had to sex young birds...
 
Thanks... I have a feeling my coop will only hold about 6-7 birds if even that... It is 7.5'L x 7'W x 7'H with a run pen that is 12' x 15-18'... But i have a 1/3 acre that they could roam once i redo all my fence from electric to 2"*4" weld wire on board and post fence...

You're welcome...
I didn't know how to sex any birds when i first started chickens, but through BYC i've learned a lot. Now i can sex a lot of breeds, but some that I'm not familiar with are still difficult. :)
