New mama from Eastern PA

I have been interested in backyard chickens for some time now, I've even spent time on here fawning over chickens! Well my dreams came true yesterday - all 9 of them!
They're about a week old, I'm sure they are Silkies (white and possibly buff) and might have 2 boys in the mix (judging by size comparison).

Earlier this morning.

Coming home yesterday.

I'm so excited for this new adventure! smile.png

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Newspaper is slippery and can sometimes cause problems with splayed feet.   Towel paper has a little grip to it.   :welcome

Hi, welcome and congrats on your new chicks! I'm sure you are very excited.

The Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced chicken keepers - loads of info on anything chicken. http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
