I am new to the using an incubator thing. This is my first successful full term incubation. My first ever use ended up with "cooked" eggs because I had a faulty plug that caused my temperature to go wonky and lost all my eggs. That has been corrected. Now I have 23 chicken eggs and 7 quail. Due to the difference in hatch days, I spaced out placement of the quail eggs. Well the quail eggs were not supposed to start pipping and hatching for a few more days, just like the chicks... I had a dream last night that I heard some peeping from the incubator... I got up and lo and behold, I have a pipped and partially zipped quail egg. I listened into the incubator and can hear some peeping going on, but then as soon as I heard it, it stopped....... So maybe today he/she will finish hatching out! I am "egg-cited"..lol
