Is plant based cleaner safe for chicks?

Asked this in another thread but I'm sort of wondering all around because it's not something I've seen before.
I used some to disinfect the bathtub we will be using as a brooder, but then I sort of panicked thinking it might hurt them. Waited for it to air out and cleaned it with white vinegar instead to hopefully get rid of anything that might be harmful. Because I'm a paranoid, nervous wreck. Could it have left anything that could hurt the chicks? Oils or something that could damage their little lungs?

But I haven't really seen anything about plant based cleaner and chicks in general...is it safe? Or dangerous? Is vinegar the only really safe option?

The chicks will hopefully be arriving tomorrow, at the latest Thursday, so I'm sort of getting that last minute anxiety. I'm so sorry for posting so many questions!
 
Unsure about the synthetic parfum ingredient in that. Might as well just use 50:50 vinegar and water because it's cheap. You can add a drop or two of essential oil for scent if you like (citrus based ones are fine). Plain soap and water also works, just rinse afterwards.
 
Yeah, I wasn't thinking and just used it earlier when I should have used vinegar, then I started to worry and regret it instantaneously.
I wiped it down with white vinegar and water afterwards and the scent that was there is entirely gone...do you think it's safe now? Or is there anything more I need to do? Wash it down with water again?

Do you think it could still hurt them? We'll be covering it with garbage bags and pine shavings so they won't actually have any contact with what it touched but I'm still kind of really scared.

I'm terrified I'll screw up - or I have, already - and they'll die and it'll be all my fault and that's a very scary feeling.

(So sorry about my panicky posts, I have pretty severe anxiety so stuff like this seems a lot worse to me than it should, sorry)
