Maybe this could be worth a try? Ive never used it before but it seems like it should work.

I hardly think that a five foot fence will deter a coyote except perhaps one that has just ate and that can't hold another bite.

click on the above link and watch a coyote fly over a 6 foot fence like it wasn't there.

Coyotes don't like pain. They're really quite sensitive. I have a pellet gun that's pretty nasty. I never shoot to kill. I just don't want them in my yard. I shoot flat target rounds. They must sting really bad because after popping a few in the fanny they're pretty scarce in the yard. I see them around all the time but they stay away from me for the time being.
