Lethal Ear Tuft Allele for Araucanas

Heyy, I've heard of the lethal ear tuft allele combination (EtEt) for Araucanas. I know that chicks who have the combination usually die in the egg between day 19 and 21 of incubation. I'm wondering if some chicks survive with the lethal combination.
