I adopted 3 Rhode Island reds about 3 months ago. They are approximately 1 1/2 years old. They are consistent layers but just this past week, one of them has started to peck at and break the eggs before I can collect them.
Can I stop this behavior? How?

I don't think so. I have always understood that when one starts intentionally breaking and eating eggs, the others will learn to as well and you will no longer get eggs.

There are some posters available that you can hang inside your coop. Chickens really dig music.
