I have a little Golden Seabright that is beginning to win over the ISA Brown ladies in my flock....
Anyone have any idea what that cross may turnout to be?

Thanks!

Rose combed, dark legged. Color can be all over the place, probably red/gold with incomplete lacing and white markings wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

I ran the breed book genetics chart for Golden (Sebright) and ISA Brown (White Trimmed Red...typical RSL markings), and got basically red birds with either incomplete white lacing or incomplete black lacing...so white laced red birds or black laced red birds.

Hopefully the little guy can get the job done, but while the spirit may be wiling, the flesh may be weak...the mechanics of bantam roos and adult large fowl hens don't always match up well, so fertility may not result.

Good luck to both you for some hatches (and the little guy in his amore of the heart)

ETA: And yes, they will be rose combed (dominant comb) and small...not as small as the Sebright, but definitely smaller birds.

How did they turn out? My hen just hatched some with the exact mix. I'm curious. I have 4 dark ones and 6 light
Unfortunately the OP hasn't been on for 5 years. Feel free to update this thread with pics of yours fully feathered out though. That way any future searchers will find your pics and know!
