I think my chicken has a worm?

Hi! I'm new to raising chickens, I got 18 Barred Rocks & 18 New Hampshire Reds chicks four days ago. I was checking them for pasty butt when I saw a long white thing attached to ones butt. Is this a worm? If so..what kind? How should I treat this? I have that chick separated from the rest but don't know what to do?

How old are the chicks? That looks to be a round worm. Usually baby chicks don't have worms, but they can get them later. I would take a few droppings in to a vet to look at under a microscope for worms. Baby chicks can pass some long skinny droppings, but it sure looks like a worm. Since most wormers are for older chicks, I would check with a vet before worming them.
