Thanks for your reply. To clarify, it is the feathers around the vent area of the chicken in question that I am concerned about, and not their feet. While I'm not seeing a good deal of runny poop (it's solid at least 90% of the time), it does sound like a fecal sample might be helpful in ruling out a problem. I will go ahead and get that checked
