Bantam Silkie Rooster Making Me Crazy!

I have two hens (barred rock and red star), and one rooster (bantam silkie). They are all six months old. I live in an urban area and although my neighbors all like the idea of me having chickens, I think everyone is getting tired of the crowing. Should I re-home him? I'm a newbie chicken owner, so I'm not sure if roosters are supposed to be aggressive and loud constantly. My birds do have free run of a 1/4 acre backyard, so I thought my hens could use protection, but at this point I can't decide.

Please advise!!
 
The kindest thing may be to find him a new home. Or, you could try one of those no crow collars. They seem to have mixed reviews from the posts I've seen, but its worth a try if you really want to keep him. Is he aggressive? That wouldn't be okay with me. If he is aggressive, I'd opt to put him in a pot instead of rehoming him for someone else to deal with. Anyway, best of luck to you!
